You may have noticed some postponed events

With the evolving COVID-19 situation in Australia, our events which were scheduled for the last few months have been cancelled or postponed.

The Cancer Down Under Ball in honour of Cindy Sullivan and the Symphony of Annette in honour of Annette McClure have both been fully refunded. The Women in Sport Lunch hosted by Paula Duncan AM will be rescheduled. All ticket holders will be contacted when we have a new date.

You can read more about these beautiful women below, and consider making a donation in their name for the cost of the refunded ticket.

We hope that you stay safe and healthy during this difficult time. We can’t wait to see you in person again soon.

In memory of Cindy Sullivan

Cindy Sullivan was loved and admired by so many people. Effortlessly kind, she was a tireless supporter of events to raise funds for gynaecological cancer research. Sadly, Cindy died of cervical cancer on the 20th of March 2017. She was a beautiful, positive woman who made a huge difference to this world and is lovingly remembered by her friends, family and her three children, Annabel, Sophie and Cormac.

In memory of Carmen Duncan

Carmen Duncan was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister. She was much loved and highly respected by all who had the pleasure of knowing her – and gave her time as an Ambassador for the AGCF and many other charitable organisations. In February 2019 she died of a rare gynaecological cancer. Her legacy is carried on by her sister Paula Duncan who is now an Ambassador for the AGCF.

In memory of Annette McClure

Annette McClure was a much-loved music teacher and beautiful Mum to her two children, Luke and Kate. She brought so much joy, laughter and love to all of our lives. Sadly in 2019, Annette passed away from endometrial cancer, the most common gynaecological cancer diagnosed in Australian women.
